Come On Over!
The Calico Press welcomes school students and small groups. The print shop is quaint and only handles 10 people at a time when demonstrating or instructing. We also welcome internships and apprenticeships with local colleges.
"Have Press Will Travel". Chat with me about being a visiting artist at your school or art center. I also enjoy artist in resident positions (any distance, as I love to travel) and I am happy to help your organization/school in any way I can.
Watch this video to learn more about my mission to rescue old printing presses and equipment. With the increasing number of persons becoming interested in letterpress printing, I feel the need to find and save the abandoned presses that sit silent in the storage rooms of old factories and back yard sheds. If I don't have the time or space to rescue a printing press, I try my best to find it a good home. These machines are well crafted treasures of our History and need preserved for the next generation.

Have a Press That Needs Rescued?
First, snap a few photos of your press and send to me via text, email, or mail. This allows me to brand and date your press and gives me an idea of the condition it is in. I can then let you know an approximate value and what it needs (if anything)..
If your press isn't a match for me, I will find someone who is. Please don't sell your press for metal scrap. Give me a call first.
